Never Leaving Las Vegas

Who knew that Elvis and Ann Margaret's playground would grow up to be one amazing business (and play) destination.
Thank you, thank you very much.

By far my favorite hotel in Vegas is the Venetian. All the rooms are suites and you are an elevator ride to some of the best places to eat and shop. The location is perfect to the most conventions and other casinos. The staff is friendly and helpful and they may you feel like royalty.

Lately, I have been staying at the Mandalay Bay, I'm at one end of thestrip which is quieter after you have already experienced visits downtown. Top of the line hotel, excellent service, and great casino Hosts. I go there at there recommendation several times a year, and it is always worth it.

I love Caesars Palace. They are always there to help us make our group reservations, and while there make our stay(s) fantastic. Their service is wonderful, the rooms are spaceous and comfortable, and their Casino Hosts go out of their way to help you.

My favorite is actually outside of Vegas. It's the J.W. Marriott resort in Summerlin. Great place if you want some quiet, but still want fun stuff to do in Vegas that's close by. I'm generally pretty introverted on vacation...I just want peace and quiet, but I like having the option to do some fun things as well. My husband and I spent four days at the Marriott, and drove to the Strip to see Blue Man, "O" at the Bellagio, and to do some gambling too. Best of both worlds.

I have 2 favorites, but I have only been to LV 3 times. Marriott in Summerlin and the Luxor hotel (rooms in the pyramid). Fun places and plenty to do and keep you occupied.

I love to stay at Paris in Las Vegas. The rooms are large and very comfortable, with fabulous bathrooms. The Sunday brunch at the buffet is to die for, and the crepe restaurant is great as well.

Our favorite is actually the Tropicana. It is an older Casino and the rooms are adequate although not fancy like the newer ones. However, they are very inexpensive, in a great location (by MGM, New York-New York, Luxor, etc.) and it has the most amazing "back yard". The hotel has acres of lush tropical gardens, winding pools and waterways, multiple rock-surrounded coves with jacuzzis, swim-up black-jack, tropical birds, etc. We prefer to spend less on our rooms and save the money for shows and other things, and then look forward to retreating to our relaxing oasis and soaking in a jacuzzi after a busy day on The Strip.

I have only been to Vegas twice. Once for business and once for pleasure. I stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton and it was wonderful. Very nice rooms and great restaurants. With the monorail stop right outside the hotel it is very easy to have access to the entire strip.

I have been to Vega$ many times, and stayed in a lot of hotels, gambled in many casinos.
My best hotel stay was Mandalay Bay.
They upgraded us midweek to a high room with an extra bedroom overlooking the airport. For half a day, we just watched planes take off and land, in complete fascination. The rooms were excellent.
Casino: My favorite place to hang out is BY FAR the New York New York. This is ironic, since I actually live in Manhattan.
The casino and nightlife is all arranged together, confusing and wonderful. It bustles with activity, and everyone seems happy. Other casinos should model this layout, as I've never seen the place empty.
Contrast that to the Luxor: so much wasted space, so boring. When in the casino, I just want to leave and go anywhere else. The runner up for casino fun is definitely the Paris. That sky-scape just really makes it seem fun in there. The Paris is a nice hotel location too, since you are a short walk to the awesome Bellagio fountain show, as well as Treasure Island's outdoor free shows.
If you are young and single, stay at either the Palms, or the Rio. They are right next door to each other, and boast the best rooftop bars in the city. The Rio rooms are very nice too, all suites. The Palms has the Playboy casino now, for the young whales and whales-to-be.
Downtown: Golden Nugget all the way.
Bar you shouldn't miss: Gilley's, it's in the Frontier (which I think is now the oldest hotel on the strip now that Stardust is kaputt). Very hot waitresses from the south, dressed like Daisy Duke, and a mechanical bull as the bar's centerpiece. You don't need to be country to hang out there. There are woodchips on the floor, it's like that.

I think some of the best hotels to visit are Bellagio for it's uparalleled elegance and serevice to all; Wynn for its whimsical innovation and secluded atmosphere; TI for its youthful and successful repositioning. it now appeals to young adults AND sophisticates; Mirage for its longevity - after all, the NEW Las Vegas began here. Thank you very much , Mr. Wynn. Finally, for an over all best stay: THEhotel gets my vote for service, accesibility and its proximity to Mandalay Bay and all of its restaurants. The suites at THEhotel are classic in style and space. I live here now, so I even book a room periodically to to "get away".

I've been there 4 times and stayed in 4 different places on the strip. I loved the Tropicana, but the MGM was by far the best. All you want in a hotel and casino. Monorail station right there and great food. Going back this fall and looking to try another hotel, maybe the LV Hilton this time.
